I think we may have rented from you a few years ago.  I’d really rather rent in 2027, but if the price was better I’d be willing to buy it.  (I have too many already)

Or maybe it’s already gone.  Mary H

The taxi fares hadn’t been increased in 8 years prior to this increase. And it was approx +10%

It’s good to review the posted fares, and ask before you set out with a driver. On occasion the price is incorrectly quoted (even at the airport), but they all know what happens if they’re reported for overcharging tourists.

Stay informed. No other island protects their tourist as well as Aruba!

We have owned several weeks at ABC since 1980, so we’re older than dirt. Nothing pleases us more than to see multi-generations of owners and guests having “family fun” at our Family Resort!! We have vacations every year at ABC and CDM (ABC is our preference due to being the Fun side), and we have brought up to 11 family members at a time. I’m not going to shame you into joining us, but I will honestly say that n-o-n-e of our children or grandchildren, or parents (ages 7weeks to 92 years) have been bothered by the pleasant noise of people enjoying themselves. Even in rooms close to the pool. Please put plugs in yours ears and close the insulated curtains until midnight on that one night.
Maybe we should suggest an Agenda Vote “to have Party Night allowed onsite from 9- Midnight Twice each week.” I think there’s a good likelihood the proposal would pass. So be careful what you ask for.

It would be helpful if those who attend the member’s meeting could view 129 EACH week after the meeting, after the meeting. Unless it is currently occupied.

This should have been done all along, I believe.

It’s all over downtown. You pick a parking spot, remember what the number on the pavement is, go to the meter within 20 feet or so, and follow the instructions. You pretty much punch in your parking number, then drop whatever round coins you have, and it will tell you how many minutes you paid for. And it gives you a receipt with your “done” time printed as a reminder.
Much like home! Except that, if you shop too long, you can go to ANY meter, and add more money to your very own spot without walking back. And it’s very affordable.

Why not pass on the fee? Because you had already made a deal with the renter. I agree with you G.N.Irene! No one, anywhere, votes on and implements a “fee” with 24 hours notice. Not without a lot of incredibly irritated customers, at least. I am still shocked that our (hard-working) Board didn’t announce “it has come to us in discussion that a new fee will need to be active…. starting Month 1, 2017”. That would have been at LEAST an appropriate way to handle it.

It seems like the board has decided that $35 isn’t negotiable.
Q1) Please roll back this policy until JULY 1, 2017, so that owners have a chance to adjust their rentals.
Q2) There are still questions on the board unanswered re: “assigning” to a direct family member of the owner.
Q3) Considering that we have Rental fees, and WiFi fees, and Energy Fees, and Gov’t Fees….. please roll the mandatory $1/day “WiFi Fee” into our Maintenance Fee. Especially since we are all Required to pay it.

I’m having trouble with these fees also. Clarification seriously needed.
I prefer to walk to Eagle Beach for FREE, or pay $10.50/wk for MIO, whenever my FREE texting and 20 cent calls are inadequate.
Yes, those of us who have Sprint will be paying every which way for what we can access for FREE.

ABC- Please consider PayPal, as there would be less fees than credit cards!

I rent out a lot of units, and I am always in awe that our staff has to strip down and “Saturday-clean” a unit for a temporary rental. There IS a cost to this. $35 is absolutely OKAY. If there is no change-up midweek, or a family member is using the Entire Week, then that should be a nominal fee for paperwork.

I just wish that the Board hadn’t stated that $35 was for “paperwork” involved. And this “change” should be effective JULY 1, 2017, so that everyone has a chance to charge and collect from tenants!

And yes, I think that every establishment that has rooms has to have each person on site as a Registered Guest. If that isn’t a law, I hope it is!
