doodles176ParticipantOlga, thanks for the input. I too agree that we are being nickeled and dimed to death. Yes our maintenance fee has climbed every year To the tune of almost 30% over the last five years! How can anyone say that this is OK??? Now they want to add wi-fi fees and additional fees to rent out units that WE own! Not right!2017 (proposed) Proposed new Maintenance Fees: Superior – $613, Deluxe – $725 and Royal – $844
2016 – $568.00 for superior, $671.00 for deluxe
2015 – $541.00 for superior, $639.00 for deluxe
2014 – $515.00 for superior, $609.00 for deluxe
2013 – $490.00 for superior, $580.00 for deluxe
2012 – $461.00 for superior, $547.00 for deluxe
2011 – $435.00 for superior, $516.00 for deluxe (plus a $180.00/week assessment fee)Not sure either where Fisherlady gets her information, but mine is directly from my maintenance bills from ABC.
doodles176ParticipantI could understand this years ago before all of the technology, but now it is simply changing a name in a computer and sending a confirmation email. Then the paperwork is printed in the new renters name. Does not seem like it is worth $35 worth of work to a person who is already employed to do a days work. I would like to find out how much “extra” work this entails by the reservations department and if they can justify the $35 expense to the owner.- 05/23/2017 at 3:22 am

doodles176ParticipantI agree with you 100% – I would also like to know how the fee of $35 came to be and how does the BOD justify this amount? How much more time is spent by the reservations department to change names in the computer and print out the welcome package? I also agree that a $10 fee would be acceptable and definitely easier to understand.doodles176ParticipantOk, understood that it would be the same amount of work, but really, how much work is involved with changing an authorized name to be able to use a room? How do you justify a $35 charge for something so easy to accomplish? What else are we going to be nickel and dimed to pay? We just had our maintenance fees increased by $45 or $50 a week. It is getting cheaper to rent through an agency then To OWN. Very sad!
