    Three weeks and no reply from the BOD….everyone must be on vacation together!

    Again, we don’t have work done without estimates. I just don’t get why there is an issue on telling us what things cost!!! We may have to pay the prices because there is no competition but things don’t add up to $26,000. Again, I feel we need to upgrade but I am disturbed by the replies from the BOD when everyone says everything is transparent. It must not be so transparent if members are asking the same questions!

    Okay, I understand we need to have rooms available to move owners to another room if they are renovating. How many rooms are being renovated?? Just room 129 or is there one of the three size rooms being done also?? When we plan on having renovations done in our home, we have a couple estimates done for what work we need. Then we have an idea of what it will cost. I can’t believe we just say go renovate the room without an estimate….that is what most of us want to know.

    Thank you for answering my questions. The reason I thought the room has taken 3 years is we weren’t able to get in our room in 2015, when we did get in in 2016 they had painted our room, changed the furniture that held the tv, and replaced our tv with a flat screen on the wall. Again in 2017 we weren’t able to use our room.

    I am speaking of the debt we have now, not the renovations….

    I figured it out based on $1million and thought each room could pay $250.00 per week owned and that would have gotten us out of debt. Then maybe we could consider room renovations. Problem with that is the unknown fees and taxes Aruba places on ABC would create new problems each time they occur….We need to clean up our debt before anything else!

    I hope when they have finished the room and post the final cost that we will see an itemized list of what was paid for each improvement. I hear you when you say that we can’t see receipts Olga, but the club is owned by us and they owe us an explanation of where the money went! I guess that if the club has a huge deficit that would take priority over renovations. If I have a huge debt at home I don’t even think of gutting a room to spruce it up! Again, I can’t imagine what would cost $37,000.00 per Superior room.

    Call me crazy but if we have a huge deficit wouldn’t it make sense to pay that off before doing a 130 room renovation???

    What exactly does the $35.00 fee pay for? Doesn’t the owner print the form and get the information and send it to the club??? Aren’t we paying a salary to the club for the processing of the paperwork or are we paying them a fee per paperwork submission??
