If you read the minutes the reserve fund was increased from $400,000 to $500,000 and the money was excess money transferred from the operating fund to the reserve fund.

I can reply to the diaper situation. I lived in a community where they had a pool that allow infants to wear safety diapers. On three different occasions in one year those diapers leaked. When excrement enters the pool, by health law regulations the pool must be emptied, scrubbed, certified to be used again by health officials and filled again. The cost of this is astronomical. If this occurred at our club it would disrupt the whole clubs vacations. That is why they probably built the baby pool in the first place. Just a thought.

16.5 % of our owners did not pay their assessments. 9% didn’t pay their dues. 245 members were forclosed on.

There is no facebook page and I did not threaten anyone. The crowd just finds it hard to answer the tough questions.

I think that most of the comments about details are not centered on what the refurbishments to the rooms will be. But a on the detailed accounting of how much money will be spent in every area that was outlined in the convocation.

I am quite sure that Ricardo has proposed to the board how much of an extension to both the kitchen and the bar he wants. I would also assume that because we are so close to the convocation and the vote on the assessment the board has done preliminary cost estimations on how much this will cost so that when the assessment passes they will move forward with the build. He is blowing smoke at you with his response. It is hogwash to believe they don’t know what it will cost or what will be built with less than two week to the BOD meeting where they will do the final approval on the assessment and what projects will be done in the refurbishment.

Thank you Kevin for you condescending reply as usual. It was expected. So let’s take a trip down memory lane. How many years since the last refurbishment? Was management, our lawyers and treasurer sleeping when the Aruban Government did the beach assessment? Was management sleeping when the government took away control over the chickees and the beach in front of the club? All without notifying the members. Who purchased the 40th anniversary sign that almost burned the club down? Who kept the members in the dark about the Ricardo’s deck? Who kept the members in the dark about the building permit to expand the bar and kitchen? If the club wasn’t run into the ground, then why all the things you mentioned had failed or were in need of replacement? Why were the members kept in the dark about the tennis court proposal? By the way I predicted the assessment would be one years dues, you said I was wrong, so time will tell and we will also see if my math on those numbers hold true. You said the employee contract would cost the club 20% and it did. Same pay going from 6 days work to five, Perfect. A five day work week and three yearly increases for the same amount of money we paid them for a six day work week.! Perfect! Stellar, negotiating skills. No answer from the September meeting on the request to you directly or the board on forming a committee to study ways to assist the board in exploring ways to cure our financial ills. A promise broken by you and the board. Perfect. Yes Kevin I am over qualified, I have been involved with operating and maintaining two HOAs, with more infrastructure than the club, ran two businesses, and had a full time job. I have one agenda, that is to ensure my investment is managed properly. So far I rate your leadership as 50-50. I seek no position on the board. Oh yes, let’s not forget that it was me that suggested to the board years ago to do a reserve fund (engineering) study on the club. The BOD said it was too expensive. The post I made about that was mysteriously removed from the official site. When the board member was elected to the board you finally did the study. Why don’t you put that engineering report on the site for all to see or are you afraid what the members will find. Oh, I know you answer, you may review it in the managers office. I’ll jump right on a jet. It takes less than two minutes to post it to the official site “as a file” where “only” members can read it. I thought the board said this was a secure place for members to read about the club? All this perfect management.
