I am curious as to who was responsible for getting the updated Article notarized and who neglected to confirm that this was done. As far as I know this has not been publically addressed.

    Kandy,
Prehaps you could post the permit and show the date it was approved. Was Mr Foley lying when he said we did not have the permit at the members meeting? Was Fraida lying when she said we applied for the permit but it was not approved yet. I made one e-mail to the Deparment of Infrastructure and Planning only after being snubbed by you and Mr Foley seeking an answer to what you were doing. Both you and Mr. Foley are calling this an agenda? Saying I intentionally sabotiged the project? How can one have an agenda or sabatoge something when they don’t know what it is? You are the ones totally out of line and should be ashamed of yourself. Mr Foley can twist his words and answers all he wants but it doesn’t change the facts.

    Kandy,
It is known I asked the DIP what was happening at Ricardo’s only after Kevin and yourself refused to answer any questions as to what was proceeding. I have copies of the E-mails. I posted my inquiry to the DIP publically along with the answers from the DIP on this site. Why you continue to lie to the membership is appalling. There was no motive, no secrecy on my part. I simply inquired to the DIP what was being built as the BOD would not tell us. Any delay in progress or possible financial harm to the club is entirely on the BOD. Both you and Kevin were well aware of the concern by membership as you both were commenting on your FB page when it suit you.

Do I understand you agreed to a contract before you know it’s financial impact on the budget?

Mr. Foley, I’m confused between refurbishment and capitol improvements. Am I wrong to think that refurbishment
was limited to the rooms? What is included in “refurbishment” ?

Quote from Mr. Foley members meeting week 34 “We will not have an assessment to do something to the Club other than if we go with the refurbishment.”

    Mr. Foley,
Are you now telling us other capitol expenditures such as restrooms, pool tiles may be included as part of the refurbishing project and paid for by the assessment?

I could very well be wrong. I would think that the price of the sign with installation would be readily available. Especially if we submitted it as part of the insurance claim. Maybe you could check?

Do we get back the money we originally paid for the sign? Could be a blessing. Did I hear we paid 40,000 for that wonderful piece of art. When I first saw it, I had no idea what it was supposed to be.

This is not the first year of increases in maintenance fees. I believe it has been a total of 23% in 4 years. I’m sure someone will correct me if I’m mistaken.

I don’t think a fee for optional internet is the problem. The problem is why a dollar per day for everyone in addition to the optional fee?

My comments are not based solely on the current situation but also on my own previous experiences and conversations with other members during our stays at the club. Perhaps one might wonder why so many members are responding the way they do. We would all like to pay our fees, trust the Board to look out for the members and enjoy our club. If you have to answer that many e-mails something is wrong.

Rose, The board does not always respond to their e-mails and when they do the answer is often abrasive much like your recent post. Maybe if the Board treated it’s members with a little more dignity an actually gave pertinent answers in a timely manner we could have a decent discussion on how to improve the club.

Exact same post under a different name was on another site, strange. Yes we stay at the resort and the guests are often family. This has been mentioned
    by many posters

For week 17: Our occupancy is 82%; 47 rooms occupied by owners, 40 guest of owners, 13 exchanges, 4 rentals.

The 40 guest stays would be assessed the $35 fee. That is $1,400 in fees for the week. If the number of guest stays is pretty consistent throughout the year that is a whopping $72,800 in additional income. WOW.
