KandyParticipantAccounting would prefer 2 separate checks to avoid confusion however they can be mailed at the same time if you want. Just put a note in the memo section of your check.- 08/27/2018 at 1:33 am

- in reply to: BOD Minutes?
KandyParticipantDear Sir,As Secretary of the Board, allow me to address your question as to why you didn’t read in the Board minutes about the discussion of children under 3 in diapers in the pool. I am the one that records, transcribes and posts the minutes of the meetings. Each time the Board comes together we meet for 6 days, and normally about 7 to 8 hours each day. In that time there are many discussions, interviews, presentations and debates. I don’t post the meetings in their entirety, but rather only the highlights of each meeting. Everything that is brought before the Board by owners, staff or managers, and there are numerous topics, are discussed some even debated and voted on. Any item with a motion made is documented in the minutes.
The topic of children in the large pool was on the agenda of the January Board meeting. It was presented to the Board by a member who was complaining about children under 3 in diapers in the pool. It was discussed with our head of Security on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at 1:10pm, and the Board ruled that children under 3 in diapers would better monitored and enforced stronger by security.
Your letter requesting children under 3 in diapers to be allowed in the pool was sent to the Board and executive office on February 21, 2018 at 2:16pm and was placed in a folder for discussion for the April Board meeting. In the mean time, you posted the same question in this forum on the same day about 2 hours later under the topic “Convocation & questions” and received a reply 11 days later but now you admonished the chairman for being what you thought was “dismissive” when actually this topic had already been discussed weeks earlier as I said at the January Board meeting. Your request is the only one that the Board has received asking to have children in diapers to be allowed in the large pool. The majority on this topic are complaints about people bringing their diapered children into the large pool with them. Since it is a rule, and posted as such, security are required to enforce these rules.
The question of children under 3 in diapers being allowed the large pool was once again brought up (by your letter request) at the April Board meeting on Tuesday April 17 at 2:38pm and discussed by the Board, General Manager and the head of security.
An accident in the pool can immediately call for the pool to be closed so the water can be stabilized. Depending on the ph reading sometimes the pool must be completely drained, cleaned and refilled that often requires at least 3 days. So once again it was decided to retain the rules that states: For their own health and safety, and for the health and safety of all members, children under the age of 3 are NOT permitted in the large pool, only in the kiddie pool and must wear “swimmies”, NO DIAPERS.
https://www.cdc.gov/healthywater/swimming/swimmers/swim-diapers-swim-pants.html
https://www.elliott.org/blog/should-kids-in-diapers-be-allowed-in-the-pool/Lastly, I take great offense to your statement “I firmly believe the board is partially made up of a group of liars” as I know myself to be a person of the utmost integrity. The fact that you were not given a personal reply to your request does not mean it was not discussed nor that I or the other members of the Board are liars. Since it was replied to on this forum previously and there was no change in the Boards stance, it was not posted in the minutes. HAD there been a change in the rule that would have been noted in the minutes, the sign by the pool would have been changed, the notice in your room would have been updated, and the web site would have been updated to include such a change.
Respectfully,
Karen Cottrill

KandyParticipantA CDM member can get a 25% discount from the rack rate, provided that member can show proof of CDM membership and taxes and energy surcharge has to be added to the room rate. For example, you rent a studio during high season with the discounted rate, it will be $202.65 total per night.

KandyParticipantAlthough cots are available for rent at ABC it is a tight squeeze in a Superior unit. Also no more than 4 people are permitted to occupy a Superior unit, even if it is a child.- 05/12/2018 at 2:52 pm

KandyParticipantHi Mary,
The list of rental specials is right here in the owners area under “Rental Specials” and gives the unit #, price and who to contact to rent a week. Taxes and fees are included in the price of the rental.- 04/25/2018 at 8:40 pm

KandyParticipantmcgann wrote:Questions on Guest authorizations.1: Do I have to fill a separate form for each guest, even a Mr. + Mrs.?
Not if they are staying in the same unit the same week
2: We’re “giving” our week this year to my Son + new Daughter in law, as a wedding present.
Do we still have to pay the $35 for them, even though they’re family?Yes, anyone not listed as an owner or co-owner on the share certificate using your week you would have to pay the $35 fee
3: If they require separate “GAM” forms, do they charge $35 twice, even though it says “per unit”?
If it is a different name and a different week then yes
4: Is there any way to find out my positive balance at ABC?
Yes, contact ABC Membership Accounting Supervisor Rene Paesch [email protected]
5: Is there any way to apply this positive balance to the $35 fee/fees?
That you could also ask of Mr Paesch

Could “possibly” be anything. Could be a surname, or it could mean something else according to Google and Urban Dictionary. Who knows? Someone keep a copious itemization of costs for room 129 reno, all of which seem perfectly reasonable, except for this one line item which lacks clarity.
Den, I will ask for clarification but I know the gentleman that owns the construction company and his name is Mr Patino. The offices are closed until Tuesday but I will find out for you then and post a reply.
It was as I expected, Patino is the owner of the company that did the work and that is why it is listed as such.
